Origin

Jingshan Mountains, the cradle of matcha

Our matcha comes from the Jingshan Mountains, in the Chinese province of Zhejiang, the historical origin of matcha tea. From there, it traveled to Japan in the 12th century to become the heart of the tea ceremony. Today, its constantly misty slopes and mineral soils continue to produce exceptionally green leaves, shade-grown to concentrate L-theanine, chlorophyll, and natural sweetness.

How to prepare

Dosage (concentrated matcha):

  • Mild: 1g + 200–300 ml at 70–80 °C
  • Traditional: 2g + 350–450 ml at 70–80 °C

Sift, whisk with 60–70 ml in a zigzag motion until foamy, then add the rest. The included spoon measures an exact 2g.

What is the spoon for?

18/10 stainless steel, serves an exact 2g (the ceremonial dose). Dishwasher safe and long-lasting.

Storage

Closed container, in a cool, dry, and dark place. The refrigerator is fine if it's airtight. Maintains color, aroma, and antioxidants for months.

1st harvest (shincha): spring leaves, the youngest and richest in L-theanine and chlorophyll. 1st grade: the highest quality within that harvest.

How many cups does the pack make?

Between 100 (at 2g, traditional cup) and 200 (at 1g, mild cup). For daily use, the pack lasts 4–6 months.

Does it have a lot of caffeine?

Moderate caffeine (≈30–50 mg per cup) with L-theanine that softens the effect: stable energy and prolonged focus, without peaks or crashes.
